Wicked The Movie is coming to theaters on November 22, 2024. The Wicked trailer asks the provocative question - are people born wicked or do they have wickedness thrust upon them?
It’s a movie that involves two unlikely friends, one who has true magical powers but is misunderstood due to her green skin, and the other who also has magical powers, along with a desire for popularity.
The general theme of Wicked is that it’s the untold story of the two witches of Oz, Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, played by Cynthia Erivo, and Glinda, the Good Witch, played by Ariana Grande.
The thematic colors of the movie are pink and green, which are the main color themes of the witches from the colorized Wizard of Oz movie. I’m happy about the color story of this film because pink and green go beautifully together, they compliment each other so nicely.

What I like most about this cuticle oil is the brush is on the more rigid side, so the oil will go exactly where you want it. As a final step, it won’t drip onto your nails as your top coat dries or as a first step, it won’t get all over your nail bed. It allows you to be precise with the placement of your oil.
Below are a few Wicked The Movie nail color ideas to consider:
L.A. Colors Color Craze Gel Comet
Shown in 3 coats, Comet is a limited edition color shifting topper, but you can wear it on its own. It’s a green, gold and aqua blue color shifting base with a cool pink to magenta flash. The main colors you’ll see in it will depend on the ambient lighting. Warmer lighting brings out the green and pink tones best.
L.A. Colors Color Craze Gel Lucky
Shown in 3 coats, Lucky is a pastel neon lime green from the Creamy Neons Collection. This is a bright, cheerful and soft light green shade.
L.A. Colors Color Craze Gel Lucky + Comet
Lucky (in 3 coats) is the base with 1 coat of Comet on top. This pairings creates a glazed donut effect on the pastel neon green, softening the brightness of the neon. It has an otherworldly, ethereal look.
L.A. Colors Color Craze Gel Sunray
Shown in 3 coats, Sunray is a limited edition color shifting topper, but you can wear it on its own. It’s made with a color-shifting base of light pink, purple and red glitter, with a warm gold to green flash. The main colors you’ll see in it will depend on how the light hits it. It shifts from giving off a pink-red sparkle or a gold-green sparkle just by moving your hand.
L.A. Colors Color Craze Gel Rose Quartz
Shown in 3 coats and from the Boho Chic Collection, Rose Quartz is a creamy, light pink. It looks great in 1 coat as a semi-sheer, but I wanted to see how the color would build, so I continued. In 2 coats it’s a bit patchy and here we are at 3 coats.
If you’re a fan of light pinks like I am, this shade is certainly a mood booster. While I’d normally say pinks like this are best for spring, Rose Quartz is neither too pale nor too pastel to be a spring-only shade. This is a pink that would be appropriate for any season.
Last one…
L.A. Colors Color Craze Gel Rose Quartz + Sunray
Rose Quartz (in 3 coats) is the base with 1 coat of Sunray on top. This pairings creates a gorgeous shimmery light pink; it has a Fairy Godmother, magical look.
All in all, each of these colors and their combinations would make sense for any Wicked The Movie look you’re planning.
Which of these shades do you think is right for you for the Wicked premiere? Do you think you’ll choose more of an Elphaba or Glinda look?
