One of the colors that essie does best is pink. Their range of sheer pinks is one of the most diverse in terms of variety, offered by any brand we’ve come across so far.
Pink nail polishes are one of the most liked groups of colors by Lots of Lacquer readers and they are very common in just about every best seller list from every brand that makes nail polish.
Could it be that people like pink so much because it is one of the oldest known colors on Earth? Perhaps our love for pink has primal origins.
Whatever the reason we collectively love pink, or the reason you personally like pink, today is all about a few of our favorite pink nail polishes from essie you might like to know about, as a fellow pink enthusiast.
Below are swatches of 5 pink nail polish from essie, in order of lightest to darkest.
gel couture sheer fantasy 10
The best way to describe gel couture sheer fantasy is this: if essie mademoiselle became a longwear formula, that’s sheer fantasy. gel couture is essie’s longwear line. Shown in 2 coats, sheer fantasy is a sheer pale milky pink and it makes a great base for nail art.
hi maintenance 100
Shown in 2 coats, hi maintenance is a sheer light pink nail polish that is one of essie’s “pinkest” sheer pinks. It’s an ideal polish for when you want that done but not overdone look, but still want to keep it on the feminine side.
fiji 348
fiji is the only 3 coat pink in this article, and it’s a bright pastel pink cream nail polish. It’s very similar to OPI’s Mod About You, except OPI Mod About You is a 2 coat pink.
The only major difference between OPI’s Mod About You and essie fiji is that essie fiji requires 1 more coat of color for complete nail coverage.
gel couture haute to trot 150
Shown in 2 coats, gel couture haute to trot is a cool-toned rose pink with lavender undertones. It’s an excellent Barbiecore option and if you ever need a “pink pick-me-up,” it works well for that too.
watermelon 264
Shown in 2 coats, watermelon is a deep, warm-toned pink cream that leans red. You could call it a magenta and depending on the lighting, it will appear either more pink or red. If you already have OPI Dutch Tulips, it's a very close match, except watermelon is a touch pinker.
