L.A. Colors is one of our readers favorite nail polish brands. This cosmetics company is known for its glitter, shimmer and special effect (like glow in the dark and holographic) nail polishes.
It’s the perfect nail polish brand if you’re looking for a fun, festive color pick me up or want to experiment with something playful, seasonal or avant garde, as that’s what L.A. Colors does best.
L.A. Colors nail polishes have an impressive wear time.
Their polish lasts as well, if not better, than “high end” polishes. In our tests, we’ve found that their formulas can give you a wear time of 5-7 days with no special techniques.
Their brushes are nice, wide and flat with a square tip; very easy to use for pushing polish close to the cuticle line.
As for the price, L.A. Colors nail polishes can often be found for just a few dollars when new colors are first introduced.
Then, when limited edition releases are discontinued, the prettiest colors from the collection go up in value and can fetch 10x their original price on third party markets.
From an investment standpoint, L.A. Colors shades tend to hold or increase in value, depending on the rarity and beauty of the color.
Let’s take a look at a few L.A. Colors nail polish swatches:

L.A. Colors Color Craze Fancy Pants
Shown in 3 coats, this is a dark blue, purple and pink sheer, chunky glitter in a clear base. It looks like a pool party in a bottle and would pair well with a black base coat. It applies best when you dot the glitter pieces on where you want them and use the brush to push them into place.
