Navy blue and light neutrals go beautifully together. Maybe it’s the balance of light and dark. Maybe it’s the contrast between warm and cool.

Balancing an opaque bold nail polish shade with a lighter sheer is a common pedicure and manicure combo.

So in this post, you will find swatches of two nail polishes that recently came into the collection at Lots of Lacquer, a light warm sheer polish and a dark, opaque blue polish.

The first polish is Coney Island Cotton Candy shade number NLL12, a light warm sheer pink beige.

This is an early OPI formula that is still in production. It is written about in OPI founder Suzi Weiss-Fischmann’s book, I'm Not Really a Waitress: How One Woman Took Over the Beauty Industry One Color at a Time. << Get this title FREE with an Audible 30-Day FREE Trial!

These OPI Coney Island Cotton Candy swatches show two coats of this sheer pink beige neutral nail polish. It's a warm pink nail polish that definitely leans peach.

The color is in the neighborhood of OPI Bubble Bath, but OPI Coney Island Cotton Candy is much sheerer - you can still see the full nail bed at two-three coats.

The next polish is OPI…Eurso Euro shade number NLE72, a bold navy blue nail polish.

OPI…Eurso Euro is from the Euro Centrale Collection which was released in 2013.

It’s a very dark blue creme navy nail polish that looks like a bright bold navy in some lighting, and like a deep cobalt in other lighting. In other words, it has a gorgeous depth and dimension to it.

This OPI…Eurso Euro swatch was done in three coats, however you can get away with two coats if you use even, full strokes during application.

Both of these shades are stunning, classic colors, and they are conservative enough for daily wear.
