OPI Bubble Bath is a classic nail color that was first introduced in 2001, and it is one of OPI’s most popular nail polish shades, with over 5 million bottles sold to date.

Bubble Bath is described as a soft, almost transparent pink nail polish that is warm in tone.

This post includes swatches of the original formula of OPI Bubble Bath Nail Lacquer, however, since this soft pink nail polish has been released the color has become available in both salon GelColor and Dip Powder.

The shade's name was coined by OPI copywriter Susan Pfeffer who felt the shade represented the moment of relaxation before a big day.

Looking at Bubble Bath once it’s on your hands is a form of relaxation for sure, as it’s clean, warm pink look has a nurturing feel.

You can find OPI's Bubble Bath along with other OPI Products, on Amazon. OPI sells all of their products via Amazon.

So without further ado, find the swatches of OPI Bubble Bath below:

You can use an OPI base and top coat to go with your nail polish, but also know that OPI polishes are generally very mix and match and often play well with other lines.

How long does it take for OPI Bubble Bath to dry?

OPI Bubble Bath is a standard nail polish that takes an average of 5-6 minutes to dry for each coat. For a flawless finish, wait for each coat to fully dry before applying the next coat.

Consider investing in a mini Desk Fan like this one to speed up drying time between coats.

How many coats of OPI Bubble Bath gives the best result?

The images in this post show three even coats of OPI Bubble Bath.

How to avoid streaks when applying OPI Bubble Bath

This is a sheer-to-opaque nail polish, meaning it can appear sheer when applied with thin coats, but opaque when applied with thicker coats. If you have ridges or apply coats too sheerly,  it is possible to get streaks in your finished look with this polish.

While this is a common result of sheer-to-opaque polishes, and with light colored nail polishes which can be sheer depending on the amount of paint you use, it doesn’t have to be your result.

To start, try using a ridge filling base coat, like the BARIELLE Hydrating Ridge Filler mentioned above.

Then, to avoid a streaky manicure using OPI Bubble Bath, move on to technique.

Apply each coat with an abundant amount of polish on the side of the brush you are using to paint on the polish.

Make sure the side of your brush looks like it is almost completely covered in pink and that almost no black bristles are visible.

Start applying the polish at the center base of the nail, then pull the brush to the tip, repeating on the left and right sides of your nail bed, adding more polish to the brush if needed between swipes.

Longer nails will require more polish and more dipping your brush into the bottle, so keep this in mind.

Once you have your first nail completely covered, move to the next nail.

Wait for the first coat of each nail to dry, and apply up to three coats to complete your finished look, filling in any unevenness in color as you go. Don’t overwork a polish that’s drying, just fix any gaps on the next coat.

To end, this polish is pleasing to the eye, and perfect for special occasions, job interviews, and as a palate cleanser between more vibrant manicures.

OPI’s Bubble Bath is a classic pink that can match almost any outfit, making it an essential for your polish collection.
