Green is a nail color that symbolizes fertility, wellness, rejuvenation, abundance, money and luck. For many, green brings to mind lush grasses, forests and all things nature.
On the nails, green is often associated with money and abundance - the color to wear if you want to attract these aspects to your life.
It’s also a primary accent color for holidays like St. Patrick’s Day and Christmas.
If you’re looking for green nail colors to provide inspiration for your next manicure, that’s what this post is all about.
Below are three examples of green nail polish - a glitter finish, a creme finish and a special effect finish.
Starting with an Orly nail polish -
Orly Hannah’s Floresta {discontinued}
Shown in 2 coats, Hannah’s Floresta is a St. Patrick’s Day ready green! Depending on the ambient lighting, it pulls more warm green or aqua green.
As a chameleon polish fan, I like that, because it changes color throughout the day, giving you a different view of color as the day progresses. It’s a nail polish as art experience.
These colors were developed by Hannah Lee of Hannah Rox It, as a dream for “magic forest nails,” inspired by bioluminescent plants, vibrant flowers and shiny treasures. Of the three colors, I think this one is the most bioluminescent algae-like.
For a similar shade, consider L.A. Colors Riot!
Mac Blue India
Shown in 2 coats, Blue India is a dark teal green with gray undertones.
This is a rare, vintage Mac nail lacquer from circa 2010 and earlier. Blue India is no longer in production, but it’s occasionally available through third party collectors on eBay.
I like the little bird on the bottle almost more than the color itself.
ILNP Deep Space
Green with a twist. Deep Space looks like Aurora Borealis on your nails.
From the Cosmos Collection and shown in 2 coats, it’s a teal green to purple color shifting magnetic nail polish in a black base. You will need a bar magnet to hold over this polish as it sets to create the effect.
This photo was taken right after the polish dried and the magnetic effect was set. As the manicure wears, the magnetic particles slowly spread out over time and the teal will become even more prominent.
All in all, these are three lovely green nail polish colors, beautiful in their own way. Do they inspire your next manicure?
If so, head to the links above to add any of these shades to your collection.
