Research shows that foliage colors can improve relaxation and your emotional status, with greens having the greatest ability to influence feelings of calmness and relaxation.

Aside from green nails giving you relaxing and calming vibes as you look at them, they can be very flattering, especially when you find a green with the right balance of hues to compliment your skin tone.

If you have a neutral, warm or olive skin tone, olive green may be your perfect match. If you have a cool skin tone, perhaps light and bright, dusty and brownish or dark olive green may work best.

Olive greens are greens with a warm, yellow tint. They can have brown, black or white bases. They can also be called Army greens, and these usually have more of a muted look.

Olive nails are one of the most popular colors for fall nails.

Shades like essie expressie precious cargo-go and OPI Suzi - The First Lady of Nails are a few of the olive nail polishes we’ve covered so far.

Today you’ll see three more olive lacquers; an indie olive, an essie olive and an Orly olive.

All three of these colors mimic the warm greens that are abundant in early fall, right before all the leaves start to shift to more oranges, reds and yellows.

essie willow in the wind

willow in the wind is a bright, botanical olive. It’s the closest of the olives in this post to the actual look of green olives. It’s from the 2022 swoon in the lagoon collection, a permanent collection release of new polishes.

Since it is part of a permanent release, it should be around for a while, which is great because willow in the wind is a very cheerful addition to the world’s supply of olive polishes.

Orly Wild Willow

From Orly’s Fall 2021 Wild Natured Collection, Wild Willow is a rich olive green with a cream finish that's darker than essie’s willow in the wind.

It’s one of two green creams from this set; the other is In Full Plume, a deep teal.
