essie is a nail polish brand with several lines. Their expressie line is in a tall, rectangular bottle and it’s their quick dry nail polish line.
“one-step color and shine formula dries in about a minute so you can grab, apply and dry on the fly. Our first ever angled brush for easy self-application with both hands, including your non-dominant hand.”
Of all of the essie lines, and all nail polish lines tested to date, the expressie line is the only one to include a unique angled brush which makes it easier to apply polish with your non-dominant hand and helps improve the speed of application.
Most of the colors are two-coaters and when using this polish, you can usually have a finished manicure in about 5 minutes, if you skip the base and top coat and truly wear it as a one-step color and shine formula.
expressie colors are shiny enough and dry hard enough on their own, that you really do not need a top coat.
Below are swatches of two essie expressie colors:
essie expressie checked in
Shown in two easy coats, checked in is a pink nude with coral shimmer that looks alot like essie’s standard formula, eternal optimist, but it has an added shimmer, where eternal optimist is a cream formula.
essie expressie get a mauve on
Shown in two coats, get a mauve on is a smoky, dusty purple cream with light gray undertones. It’s a soft, muted purple.
All in all, the essie expressie line is a well performing quick dry formula that you’ll be pleased with, if speed matters to you in your manicure.
