OPI released their Fall 2021 nail polish collection in late July of this year, which may at first seem early, but once you get all the product out to stores and influencers, the Downtown LA Collection polishes were right on time.

At the time, Beyond Polish had the new OPI Downtown LA Collection first and was emailing affiliates about the fact that they had the OPI fall shades before anyone else, and they were offering 2-day shipping.

One thing led to the next, that’s how you ended up here.

Did someone scream new nail polish? They did and we heard them. When you love polish, that kind of news is big news, right?

Swatching new collections takes time and working through the entire Downtown LA Collection has been one of the goals of this site.

So today the feature polish of this collection is (P)Ink on Canvas #NLLA03.

It is a creme finish, dusty, cool rose that has a muted, feminine pink, cozy vibe. It is not a pastel. It is more of an orchid pink.

It offers full opaque coverage in only 2 coats.

You could wear it on a cool, grey day in the fall or spring. It fits either occasion and seems to match the mood of cool, calm, seasonal days whenever you experience them.

The formula is somewhat thick, more viscous than some, so it is relatively easy to apply especially if you like to move slowly when you do your nails.

There is no running to catch every drip with this shade, and the coats go on quite smoothly. You can get somewhat thin coats, as while it is a thick shade, it is a pliable one.

For these reasons, the user experience with this shade is relaxing and easy to use.

On where it is unique: of the polishes in the Downtown LA Collection, this is one of the main neutral workhorses, the other being Espresso Your Inner Self.

So if you are looking for a versatile, opaque pink nail polish with a cream finish, this polish is for you. It’s the perfect cool, feminine pink for any season and it provides an easy, soothing application experience.
