OPI has been around since 1989. They’ve somehow adapted to the ever changing trends and managed to stick around for 35 years.

Today, OPI is our readers’ favorite brand.

One of the things I like most about OPI nail polish is they continually update their formulas alongside customer demand. Whenever a nail polish chemical has become unfavorable or research has shown a certain ingredient is not the best, they update their formulas.

When you compare older to newer formulas’ ingredients, you’ll see that certain ingredients have been removed from newer formulas.

Additionally, when they have a breakthrough that makes their formulas more long lasting, quicker drying and higher performance, they pounce and release it.

There seems to always be something exciting coming out from OPI. They’re a brand that evolves to the needs of their client base and stays on top of the latest research. You could say OPI is cutting edge when it comes to polish innovation, which is what keeps it engaging, as a fan of the brand.

In today’s post, I’m going to be sharing with you the last 2 OPI nail colors currently in my collection. I’ve shared with you hundreds of shades so far and these are the final contenders remaining.

Starting with the perfect evening wear shade, OPI Complimentary Wine -

OPI Complimentary Wine

Vampy reds are my #1 favorite nail color, so I’ve tried a lot of them. This one's a creme de la creme.

Shown above in 2 coats, Complimentary Wine is a creamy, blackened burgundy. In direct sunlight, it has a light jelly burgundy appearance, but in regular indoor lighting, it’s much closer to a blackish red.

OPI This Color’s Making Waves

If you’re a fan of nail colors that will help you channel your inner mermaid vibes, this is the one.

In the bottle, This Color’s Making Waves is a iridescent blue-green metallic that looks like a mystical faerie wishing well encapsulated in a bottle. On the nails, it’s a shifting bluish to aqua teal metallic that’s opaque in 2 coats.

So there you have it! The final 2 OPI shades in my collection that haven't been shared yet.

I really like both of them, though Complimentary Wine is more of a shade I’d pick for date night, whereas This Color’s Making Waves is definitely a color for warmer, sunny days. They’re equally pretty and useful, depending on the application.
