Starrily Heartbreak Hues Collection Swatches
Updated 2024.07.06 - we are grateful that Starrily sent us this collection to share with you on the blog!
This collection features 9 new nail polish shades with neutrals, pinks, classic reds, and unique purples for a total of 4 cremes, 3 shimmers and 2 glitters.
The main difference between a shimmer and a glitter is typically the size and amount of sparkle. Shimmer usually has a finer sparkle, where glitter has bigger sparkles. Also, glitter polishes tend to have thicker formulas than shimmer polishes.
These colors are inspired by the journey that is falling in and out of love - the highs, the lows and the wisdom gained in between. This collection embraces all facets of love, honoring this heartfelt connection that makes life worth living.
Below you will find swatches of every color in the collection, along with a description of each:
Unwritten
My personal favorite in the collection. Shown in 3 coats, Unwritten is a light and creamy warm peach. It's inspired by the resilience of the heart, ever ready to write a new chapter.
The formula on this color is lovely - it’s self leveling and it dries quickly. This one is really flattering on the nails and I would consider it work friendly. If you enjoy light peach nail colors, you’ll love this one.
Lone Wolf
Shown without a top coat, Lone Wolf is a gorgeous 1 COAT taupe cream that dries quickly and self levels.
Because it's so shiny on its own and opaque in a single coat, you can wear it as a one bottle manicure and be off to chart your next adventure in minutes.
This color symbolizes the profound beauty of carving one's unique trail through life, unburdened by the expectations of the pack. What a freeing idea!
Puppy Love
Shown in 2 coats, Puppy Love is light pink nails with a glow. It’s a cool pink with mauve undertones and blue micro shimmer. This polish represents the enthusiastic and naive optimism of new love, and it gives a delicate feminine touch to your look.
Heart Breaker
Shown in 2 thin coats, Heart Breaker is a bold and intense cherry red creme. Like the other colors in this collection, this shade dries down so nicely. It’s dry to the touch within about a minute.
Crimson Twilight
Shown in 2 thin coats, Crimson Twilight may be *the* perfect red. It’s a shimmering cherry red pearl, with a glamorous feel.
This polish was inspired by love’s passionate and fiery embers.
Shattered Mirage
Shattered Mirage is a glittering purple with pink and gold glitters that was created as tribute to the dreamers and bold adventurers who chase after the glistening visions on the horizon.
It represents the reality that sometimes, when you arrive at the coveted dream, all may not be what it first seemed, though the journey getting there was still fun.
This sparkling lavender purple celebrates everyone who continues to seek love’s beauty even if having it isn’t ultimately what you thought it would be.
Never After
Shown in 2 coats, Never After is a tanzanite gemstone colored polish. It’s a mix between light blue and purple with a shimmering gold sparkle.
Designed after the glowing light in the sky after a storm, Never After is inspired by the fact that even when fairy tales don't come true, you emerge stronger, as your character is now enriched with the golden wisdom of experience.
I love the inspiration and color of this one, it’s so gorgeous in every way.
Tempest
Shown in 2 coats, Tempest is a dark teal creme with cool, blue gray undertones.
It represents the depths and waves of emotions that can be tranquil and calm on the surface, yet raging beneath the surface.
Star Crossed
Shown in 2 coats, Star Crossed a deep purple with holographic glitter that dries matte.
I love the description of this one:
"Envision a night sky that refuses to align, where stars gleam not in harmony, but in splendid, misaligned, chaotic brilliance. "Star Crossed" is a tribute to those who walk a different path in love and life, who find their sparkle not in traditional tales of romance, but in the unique narratives they write for themselves. Wearing "Star Crossed" is a bold statement of independence, a celebration of love in its myriad forms, and a reminder that the most captivating stories are often those that are star-crossed."
If the stars refusing to align brings us nail color with this level of depth, I’m fine with the celestial bodies continuing to work in their mysterious ways.
The Heartbreak Hues Collection contains some darker hues, as well as some lighter hues.
Heartbreak Hues would be a great collection to add to your inventory if you’re looking for a palette of colors that could work for both the cooler and warmer months.
For the romantics at heart, this is a collection of shades that you’ll appreciate.
