Extra is a soft warm mauve nail polish in the bottle, which leans pink-beige on the nail. Shown in 2 coats, Extra could be called a light mauve neutral.
It’s described as a gel nail color, yet this implies a “gel like” shine. It is not a true gel polish that requires a UV light. It applies like regular nail polish.

lady like is a classic essie mid-toned mauve.
Shown in 2 coats, lady like is a flattering blend of pink, purple and beige, appropriate for any conservative atmosphere you may find yourself in. It’s a great shade to wear when you don’t know what to wear, as it goes with everything.

sound check you out makes a statement. It is similar to, but a few levels darker than lady like. It is the most deep, dramatic and purple of the mauves shown here. Opaque in 2 coats, this a cool-toned lavender mauve that verges on the edge of taupe.
This shade is from the same collection as star struck a chord (see it in our post on Halloween Nails); it’s a gorgeous dark eggplant with gold sparkle.
