ILNP is a nail polish brand that specializes in boutique effect colors - specifically metallics, glitters, holographics and magnetics.

If your favorite finish of nail polish is glitter, ILNP is your brand, because almost every color they offer offers some kind of sparkle.

Since we’re all about the sparkle here at Lots of Lacquer, ILNP is a brand that we love. In addition to the sparkle, we specifically love that they’re Made in America, of clean ingredients and are cruelty free.

ILNP is also a great brand for nail polish collectors and enthusiasts because their available inventory is 577 colors.

How to use ILNP nail polish

Apply the polishes just like you would any nail polish. All of the ILNP polishes we’ve tried offer even coverage in 2-3 coats.

The only polishes that you need to apply using a different technique are the magnetic polishes that ILNP offers. Magnetic polishes require using a bar magnet to hover over or under the signature cat eye design until it sets.

My favorite way to apply the ILNP Magnetic polishes is by simply resting a fingertip on the bar magnet as you paint that nail.

While applying each coat of polish, position your fingertip so the nail is resting at the exact angle you want to see the signature cat eye look that magnetic polishes offer.

Leave your fingertip on the magnet until the first coat sets, then move onto the next nail. Repeat the whole process for the second coat, working one nail at a time, one coat at a time.

Below you will see swatches of 3 different ILNP nail polishes, 2 of which are magnetics:

Shown in 2 coats, Deep Space is a teal and purple forward magnetic polish in a deep black base. It truly looks magical; like Aurora Borealis on the nails.

Shown 3 coats, Shooting Star is a rich blue magnetic with a deep bluish purple base and a light blue glitter flash.

Shown in 2 coats, Moondust is a warm plum brown shimmer with silvery, aqua-teal metallic glitters. The warm base with the cool glitter gives it both warm and cool tones, making a compatible choice for any skin tone.

For best results, apply this one like you would any regular lacquer.

All in all, if you like special effect nail polishes like magnetics and lots of glitter, ILNP is a brand to consider.
